Harman, Object Oriented Ontology

Object-Oriented Ontology: A New Theory of Everything by Graham Harman offers an accessible introduction to object-oriented ontology. Harman argues that all objects—human, nonhuman, real, or fictional—exist independently and possess a withdrawn reality that cannot be fully accessed or reduced to their relations or appearances. The book presents the world as a network of autonomous objects interacting indirectly, challenging the idea that humans occupy a privileged position in reality.
